Scott Summers, while still feeling betrayed by Xavier, is convinced by the other X-Men to find Matthew Malloy before he becomes a threat to everything around him. Iceman continues to struggle with Scott Summers having killed Xavier. Commander Hill calls in two psychics, Bennet Du Paris and Headlok, to try to get into Malloy's head. Malloy responds by killing both psychics and Commander Hill contacts the X-Men after confirming that Malloy is in fact a mutant. Scott Summers' students are training in a scenario against the Avengers and are confronted with the idea that if they are going to fight the "good guys" someday, what does that make them? Beast uses Cerebro to locate Malloy and discovers that he is more than an Omega Level mutant.
